Description
Shapton’s Lapping Disc is used to restore the cutting surface of waterstones when they become clogged with swarf. Wet the surface of the stone, then dress the surface in small, circular motions. you don’t need to apply a lot of force or remove a lot of material – just enough to restore the surface. The lapping disc has a flat surface and a grooved surface. The grooved surface will give a slightly finer finish.
The lapping disc is not a substitute for a flattening tool, like theDiamond Glass Lapping PlateorNaoru Cast Iron Lapping System.
