Redline Detection 95-0130 Dual Purpose Diagnostic Leak Locator
The Redline Dual Purpose Diagnostic Leak Locator does ALL types of diagnostic leak detection with a single machine, use it for both low-pressure EVAP/ general repair and variable high-pressure for turbo, diesel, and heavy duty testing.
It’s economical, costing only pennies per test and can save hours of diagnostic time. It does not use any dyes or other contaminants, it’s safe for the vehicle, the technician, and the environment.
It’s easy!
Flip the switch to select Turbo for adjustable pressure or EVAP for fixed pressure.
Press a button to use either visible vapor or air only if doing Turbo.
Turn the knob to adjust the Turbo pressure level.
As vehicles become more complex, mid-range variable pressure testing is needed to replicate the full load of a running engine to open up miniscule cracked parts and to quickly find failing components. Different leaks show up at different pressures. As turbo, diesel, and boosted systems become more common, high-pressure testing capabilities are required to replicate high boost. High-pressure testing is critical for locating leaks within the exhaust system from the engine to the DPF, these leaks are not apparent under lower pressure testing. Leaks in the exhaust system are critical to diagnose correctly because they not only cost performance, they trigger excessive regeneration issues, increasing vehicle downtime dramatically.
