HOW TO USE:
- Assess the Situation: Quickly evaluate the scene for safety and determine the nature of the emergency.
- Access the Kit: Open the XL Rugged Hard Case and locate the relevant module based on the injury or if cardiac arrest is suspected, locate the AED.
- For Trauma Injuries:
- Identify the Injury: Determine the type and severity of the wound (e.g., bleeding, burn, eye injury).
- Select the Appropriate Module: Choose the color-coded module corresponding to the injury type.
- Apply First Aid: Follow the instructions in the First Aid Guide and utilize the supplies within the module to treat the injury. For severe bleeding, immediately apply the RapidStop® Tourniquet as directed.
- For Suspected Cardiac Arrest:
- Ensure Safety: Make sure the area around the person is safe.
- Call for Help: If possible, have someone call emergency services immediately.
- Open the AED Compartment: Access the Heartsine 350P AED.
- Power On the AED: The AED will likely power on automatically when opened, or there will be a power button.
- Follow AED Prompts: The AED will provide voice and visual prompts. Attach the electrode pads to the patient’s bare chest as indicated.
- Analyze Heart Rhythm: Allow the AED to analyze the patient’s heart rhythm.
