Description
The Lang Tools Intake Manifold Wrench (5530) is a highly specialized hand tool engineered to simplify the installation and removal of intake manifold socket-head cap screws on Harley-Davidson BigTwin® engines, including Evolution, Twin Cam, and Milwaukee-Eight models. Its design addresses the specific challenges of working in the confined spaces around these critical engine components, providing mechanics and enthusiasts with a precise and efficient solution.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
- Reversible Ratcheting Box Wrench: Allows for continuous turning of fasteners without repositioning, significantly speeding up both installation and removal of screws in tight areas.
- 1/4″ Ball-End Allen Bit: Features a specialized ball-end design that permits engagement with the screw head at an angle, providing flexibility and access in locations where a straight approach is not possible.
- Ergonomic Vinyl Grip: Ensures comfortable handling and reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use, providing a secure hold.
- Dedicated Harley-Davidson Compatibility: Specifically designed for the unique fastener configurations found on BigTwin® engines, ensuring a perfect fit and preventing damage to screws or components.
- USA Made Quality: Manufactured in the U.S.A., reflecting a commitment to high standards of craftsmanship and tool longevity, a hallmark of Lang Tools.

HOW TO USE:
- Preparation: Ensure the engine is cool to the touch and that you have clear access to the intake manifold area. Identify the socket-head cap screws you intend to work on.
- Positioning: Place the 1/4″ ball-end Allen bit onto the head of the intake manifold socket-head cap screw. The ball-end allows for engagement even if you cannot get the wrench perfectly straight onto the screw.
- Select Direction: To loosen a screw, set the wrench to the “reverse” or “loosen” direction. To tighten, set it to the “forward” or “tighten” direction.
- Operate: Apply steady pressure and rotate the wrench. The ratcheting mechanism will allow you to turn the screw without removing the wrench from the fastener. Continue turning until the screw is fully installed or removed.
- Repeat: Move to the next screw, repeating the process until all desired fasteners are serviced.
BENEFITS OF USING LANG TOOLS INTAKE MANIFOLD WRENCH (5530):
- Improved Efficiency: Speeds up the often tedious process of working on intake manifold fasteners.
- Enhanced Access: The ball-end bit and slim design allow you to reach screws in tight, obstructed areas where conventional tools fail.
- Reduced Frustration: Eliminates the struggle and awkward angles associated with servicing these particular engine components.
- Minimized Damage Risk: Provides a precise fit, reducing the likelihood of stripping screw heads or damaging surrounding parts.
- Professional Results: Helps ensure proper and secure fastening of intake manifold components.
