E. C. Emmerich Secundus Smooth Plane

Emmerich’s Secundus Smooth Plane is an affordable wooden plane with an easy-to-use mechanism – no hammer required. Depth of cut is adjusted with the large screw behind the blade. The blade is secured by a steel leaf spring with cam lock.

The Secundus plane is made iwth the same attention to detail as all other E. C. Emmerich planes the quality is the same as the top of the linePrimus Smoooth Plane, but at a lower price. The convenient adjustment is much easier that theWedge Smooth Planefor a slight price premium.

The main body is made from European Beech and the sole is made from hard-wearing hornbeam. Like other Emmerich planes, the Secundus plane has a two comfortable molded hand grips. The plane is designed for right handers.
