Description
The American Forge & Foundry 12-Ton Air-Assist Bottle Jack (5512B) is engineered for demanding lifting tasks across various heavy-duty sectors. Its air/hydraulic design offers efficient and fast lifting, significantly reducing operational time compared to manual-only jacks. A built-in relief mechanism acts as a safety bypass system, effectively preventing accidental overload and ensuring the jack operates within its safe capacity. Uniquely, this jack also provides the flexibility of manual operation, making it fully functional even when an air source is not available. This versatility ensures continuous utility in diverse work environments. The design incorporates centered pumps and rams with heat-treated pistons, which contribute to balanced lifting and easier positioning under heavy loads. The saddles are crafted from machine-hardened steel, designed to withstand immense pressure and resist wear for extended service life. Internally machined oil passages, smooth bearing surfaces, and close tolerances further enhance the jack’s durability, minimizing internal friction and wear for a longer operational lifespan.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

HOW TO USE:
- Prepare the Load: Ensure the vehicle or equipment is on a stable, level surface. Block wheels to prevent movement.
- Position the Jack: Place the jack under the designated lifting point. Ensure the saddle is centered and in contact with the load.
- Connect Air (for Air-Assist Operation): Connect an air hose to the jack. Verify air pressure is between 110–120 PSI.
- Lift the Load:
- Air-Assist: Activate the air control to raise the ram quickly.
- Manual Operation: Insert handle and pump manually to lift the load.
- Secure the Load: Use jack stands at designated support points. Never work under a load supported only by the jack.
- Lower the Load: Turn the release screw counter-clockwise to lower. Dual return springs assist in controlled retraction.
- Remove Jack: Once the load is fully supported or lowered, remove the jack from under the equipment.
