Description
Ligno-Scanner moisture meters scan up to 3/4″ deep without marring the wood at all. You can check an entire board without probing or cutting, even through finishes. The 1-5/8″ x 2-5/8″ scanning pad allows you to cover large boards quickly. Ligno-Scanner meters are best used on dressed lumber. The entire scanning pad needs to be flat on the material and in contact with the surface.
Ligno-Scanner meters adjust for different wood species without math. Each meter comes with a laminated wood group chart that helps you set the meter for the species you are measuring.
Models
Model D measures moisture 3/4″ deep. If your lumber is thicker than 3/4″ check from both sides. If you use this meter on thinner materials, the reading may be inaccurate.
Model SD has two depth settings.It measures 1/4″ deep or 3/4″ deep. If the material is thinner than the depth setting, the reading may be inaccurate.
