A rock solid, stable workbench is the centerpiece of many workshops.While an unyielding bench is a wonderful thing, there are times when being able to
easilymove your workbench around the shop would be really handy.This set of 4 swivel casters is the easiest way we’ve found to create workbench mobility, while maintaining workbench stability.The swivel feature gives maximum maneuverability and when you’re finished moving the bench, just flip up the foot pedals and your bench legs return fully and firmly onto the floor.This is a perfect solution for garage workshops with limited space, where a requisite to actually begin work often involves the moving of tools (and cars).
Installation is quick and with just driving a few screws. If needed, use an appropriate shim to accommodate for any leg offset, to ensure the vertical mounting plate of the caster bears fully flush to the leg.
Of course these mobility casters are suitable for more than just a workbench.With a mounting plate that measures 3-1/2″ long x 2″ wide, attach them to the legs of router tables, machine stands, shop assembly tables or anything else with a suitable vertical support structure you can securely screw into.
When the caster wheels are “up” (not touching the floor) and oriented for minimal projection, they’ll protrude out about 5″ from the leg.
Quick Release Plates
The addition of our Quick Release Mounting Plates greatly improves the caster set. After moving your bench, you can easily remove the casters so they won’t get in your way while working at the bench. The caster and mounting plate packages includes four casters, four mounting plates with locking pins and all necessary mounting hardware.
