Kunz 79 Side Rabbet Plane
The 79 primarily trims long grain rabbets and grooves so that cabinet backs and drawer bottoms fit better.With some care and dexterity, it will also widen cross grain dados. The 79’s opposite-facing blades let you enter a cut from either direction, thus avoiding end grain blowout. An adjustable stop allows cuts down to 9/16″.
