Veritas has merged modern materials and traditional design to create this well balanced, excellent cutting dovetail saw. Originally, the Gent’s Saw, or “gentleman’s saw”, was designed as a smaller version of a typical dovetail saw, making it easy to fit in a toolbox.The 7-7/8″ by 1-5/8″ high-carbon steel blade is just .015″ thick, with .003″ set per side.The blade’s spine is made from high-pressure injected molded resin, with stainless steel powder & glass fibers resulting in a strong and stiff backer that keeps the blade straight & true.Its 4-1/4″ long hardwood handle is attached with a brass nut.
Thecrosscut saw has 22tpi with a 15° rake angle, 60° included angle and alternating 15° bevel angles.
Therip cut saw has 20tpi with a 14° rake angle and 60° included angle.
