Description
The Sharpe Dryaire Desiccant System (6760) is a professional-grade, three-stage compressed air purification system designed to deliver clean, dry, and moisture-free air directly to your application point. This system is a critical tool for achieving flawless results in spray painting and for safeguarding moisture-sensitive pneumatic equipment. It effectively removes dirt, oil, and water vapor that can compromise your work and damage your tools. The 6760 system is widely used in automotive, industrial, and woodworking shops where air quality directly impacts the final product’s finish and the longevity of valuable equipment. By using a multi-stage process, the system guarantees a consistent supply of ultra-dry air, helping you avoid common issues like fish-eyes, blistering, and poor adhesion in your paint finishes.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS:
- Three-Stage Purification: First stage 5-micron air filter removes solid particles and bulk water.
- Coalescing Filter: Self-draining mechanism eliminates oil aerosols and sub-micron particles down to 0.01 microns.
- Desiccant Dryer: Contains 5 lbs. of 100% indicating silica gel to absorb remaining water vapor, achieving a -40°F dew point and 0% compressed air humidity.
- Visual Indicator: Silica gel changes from blue to pink when saturated, providing a clear cue for replacement or regeneration.
- Regenerable Desiccant: Beads can be baked at 275°F to restore moisture absorption, offering long-term cost savings.
- Warranty-Approved: Compatible with many paint company warranty programs, ensuring reliability and performance.
SPECIFICATIONS:
- Air Flow Capacity: 30 CFM
- Max Operating Pressure: 175 PSI
- Max Operating Temperature: 150°F
- Inlet/Outlet Connections: 3/4″ FPT inlet (reduced to 1/2″), 3/4″ FPT outlet (reduced to 3/8″)
- Product Includes: Self-relieving air regulators, mounting bracket, and shut-off valve
HOW TO USE:
- Installation: Mount the system securely to a wall or workbench using the included bracket. Connect your compressed air line to the 3/4″ FPT inlet and your air tool or spray gun hose to the 3/4″ FPT outlet.
- Initial Setup: Ensure all connections are secure. Open the shut-off valve to allow air to flow through the system.
- Operation: Use your air tool or spray gun as normal. The system automatically filters and dries the air through the three stages.
- Monitoring: Regularly check the desiccant beads in the third-stage housing. When they change from blue to pink, the desiccant is saturated and requires attention.
- Maintenance: Remove the desiccant housing and empty the beads onto a pan. Bake them at 275°F for four hours to regenerate. Once cooled, return them to the housing.
