Black Jack Combination Buffer/Stitcher Tool (Stainless Steel) Whenever you repair a tube or tubeless tire with a flat patch, it’s best to buff (scuff) the rubber to ensure that proper hardening will occur between the patch and the tire rim or tube. Once the patch is in place, stitch it by applying pressure to the tool and rolling the stitcher wheel back and forth across the patch. This also causes any air trapped to escape and provide a solid seal.
